Enterprise mobility solutions are business critical; they enhance workforce productivity, improve customer service and extend asset lifecycles. They are interconnected with many mobile enterprise workflows, on devices that are being used by some of the largest brands in the world in order to help their business run more efficiently and ultimately more profitably.

However, the dominant modern operating systems (OS) Windows CE and Windows Mobile supporting such mobile devices are nearing end of service (EOS), and leaving current customers with no clear migration path forward. A decision needs to be made about which enterprise OS platform is deployed next. Regardless of the choice, the enterprise mobile applications will need to be redeveloped and recoded, as they will not be forward migratable.

With no 'right' answer as to which OS to upgrade to, doing nothing or pursuing the wrong options could result in productivity loss, disruption to operations and expensive overruns.
